Wales international Hennessey pens new deal at Crystal Palace

Wayne Hennessey has signed a new contract to keep him at Crystal Palace until 2021.
The Wales international, 31, joined Palace from Wolves in January 2014 and has since taken over from Julian Speroni as first-choice goalkeeper.
He will face strong competition to keep hold of the number one spot following the arrival, also on a three-year contract, of Spaniard Vincente Guaita from Getafe, but Hennessey told the Palace website: “I’m really happy to commit my future to the club.
“I’ve always said how much I enjoy playing football here and the way we ended last season shows what we’re capable of achieving as a team. “Now I just want to concentrate on preparing for the new season and play my part in helping the club push on to the next level.”
Hennessey’s decision to commit to Palace follows the departure of Yohan Cabaye to Dubai-based Al Nasr after his deal expired, while Joel Ward extended his contract for a further three years.
