Pilgrims land Dyson
Striker Calum Dyson has become Plymouth Argyle’s fifth signing of the summer as Derek Adams continues the rebuilding of his squad. The 21-year-old makes the move to Home Park after being released by Premier League club Everton.
Dyson had been with Everton since the age of six but, although he made it into the professional ranks, he did not break into the first team.
He is the second Everton academy graduate to sign for Argyle this summer, following midfielder Conor Grant so both will be very familiar with each other.
Dyson is the second striker signed by Adams this close season, after former Crystal Palace forward Freddie Ladapo was snapped up as a free agent after leaving Southend United.
Argyle also have Ryan Taylor to lead the attack after he signed a new two-year contract after the end of last term.
The Pilgrims are thought to have had six players in for medicals for last week so at least one more new recruit could be imminent.
Adams has targeted up to 10 signings before the start of the 2018/19 League One campaign.
