Ross wants two of his St Mirren stars

Sunderland’s new boss Jack Ross wants to make two of his former St Mirren players his first signings at the Stadium of Light.
The club’s new owners look set to cash in on former Manchester United midfielder Paddy McNair and accept Brighton’s £7 million offer for the Northern Ireland international.
That would free some cash up for Ross, who has succeeded Chris Coleman at the relegated Wearside club.
Ross, who guided St Mirren to the Scottish Premiership last season, has tabled a loan bid for winger Lewis Morgan who joined Celtic in a £300,000
deal in January. Brendan Rodgers will decide on Morgan’s future next month.
He is also keen on Scotland Under-21 international Kyle Magennis, 19, and is ready to match his former club’s asking price.
The midfielder impressed in the Scottish Championship and Ross is confident he can handle League One.
