Sunderland want £7m for McNair
Sunderland want £7m for midfielder Paddy McNair, according to reports.Several articles link the 23-year-old with a move to Wolves, with one suggesting the Black Cats are holding out for £7m for the former Manchester United trainee.
The Northern Ireland international, who can play in defence or midfield, returned from 11 months out with a knee injury in October last year.
But he could not prevent the Black Cats from suffering a second straight relegation and he is thought to be part of a sell-off to balance the books at the Stadium of Light.
Sky Sports claimed Brighton have made two unsuccessful bids and he has been connected with several other Championship clubs.
Wolves decided not to take up the option to bring Alfred N’Diaye to the club permanently.
While much of their transfer business has had connections with Jorge Mendes, they have also made astute UK-based signings like Ryan Bennett and John Ruddy.
