Willian says he respects Antonio Conte's decision to leave him on bench for Chelsea
Willian admits he found it difficult
not starting games for Chelsea last season but says he respects the
decision of manager Antonio Conte.
Sky Sports News understands that Willian wants to leave Stamford Bridge if Conte remains as head coach, and is a target for Manchester United this summer.
Conte left Willian out of Chelsea's starting line-up for the FA Cup final
"Sometimes to stay on the bench is difficult but I respect the decision of the manager.
"I don't have anything more to say about my club because now I want to have focus here on the national team and the World Cup."
Conte's future as boss remains in doubt, with Chelsea having pursued ex-Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri. They also hold an interest in Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic, according to Sky sources.
Willian has two years remaining on his Chelsea contract.
